Maharashtra Ex-DGP Anami Roy and NIIT to impart IT Training and employability skills to empower  Vidarbha Farm Widows and kids
Nagpur, April 04, 2013:
Dying 3 million distress farmers of west vidarbha has found new Samaritan in the form of ex-top cop of Maharashtra police Anami roy and NIIT Nagpur centre director Rina Sinha who have started high take computer centre at Pandharkawada and Wardha which were open this week ,this is unique initiative  to empower and rehabilitate the youth of Vidarbha, NIIT Ltd., leading Global Talent Development Corporation and Asia’s largest IT Trainer, will impart them IT Training and communication skills.
Maharashtra ex-DGP after retired has set up trust Vandana foundation which is working for empowerment of vidarbha farm widows since 2010 and hundreds of farm widows has started new  support activity that has empowered them to live life with dignity and respect now providing IT and employability skills will give further relief distressed families ,Anami roy informed in press release today

NIIT Nagpur has partnered with vandan foundation  to provide livelihood support to the families of the farmers who have committed suicide. NIIT Nagpur Centre will impart free IT training and communication skills to the children of these farmers.
This training has started at Pandharkauda and Wardha in the first week of April, being  offered to children who have passed 10th/ 12th standard. Children will be imparted training on basic IT and life skills including MS Office, Internet and Basic English Communication skills etc.
Speaking on the initiative, Ms. Rina Sinha,Director, NIIT Nagpur Centres,said, “Continuing with NIIT’s endeavor to bring people and computers together, we have launched this initiative to empower the youth of Vidarbha through IT training. We are confident that after completing this training, these children will take up meaningful jobs and support their families.”
Mr. A.K. Roy, vandana foundation  said, “ We are pleased to partner with NIIT for rehabilitating the bereaved families of Vidarbha farmers. Through this training, the youth will surely find gainful job opportunities, thus improving the economic condition of their families.”
