As Central Govt.’s Denied Relief Aid Seven more distressed vidarbha farmer killed themselves
1st Feb. 2015

Apathy of Modi. Govt toward maharashtra farmers suicides and delay in garnting requsite relief aid and fuled more despair in aid staved vidarbha farmers resulting in seven more innocent farmers suicides inlast 72 hours as the awaited meeting of high level committee under Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh for Central Assistance to States affected by natural disasters on 30th Jan. has once again shown complete apathy toward ongoing Maharashtra agrarian crisis as NDRF has not even discussed severe drought condition as per report Maharashtra state government which has announced relief aid to more than 8 million people of around 30,000 thousand villages amounting Rs. 7000 crore expecting more than Rs. 5000 crore from central government and from National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) as per the guidelines of NDRF and submitted it’s requisition in November last year but till date it has been taken for the discussion as earlier in the first week  January  NDRF special meeting which was attended bu the Union Minister for Finance Shri Arun Jaitley, the Union Minister of Agriculture Shri Radha Mohan Singh and Senior Officers of the Ministries of Home Affairs, Finance and Agriculture but severe agrarian crisis and ongoing farmers suicides in drought effected Vidarbha and Marathawada region was not even discussed as Committee examined the proposals for financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh for Hudhud cyclone, Arunachal Pradesh for floods and landslides and Karnataka for some parts of the State affected by floods and some parts affected by drought. The Committee also examined the proposal for financial assistance to Uttar Pradesh where some parts of the State were affected by hailstorm and some parts affected by drought, this is nothing but mockery of Maharashtra agrarian crisis , alleged Kishor Tiwari   farm advocacy group Vidarbha Janandolan Samti (VJAS) informed in press release today.
The ongoing farm suicide spiral is in agrarian crisis hit vidarbha region is continue in new year 2015 as in last 72 hours seven more farmers suicides reported ,they are
1.kishor pawar of village rohna  & 2. Bahurao choudhari of village chahel both in washim district 3.radhyeshaym chavan of village rajni & 4.moreshwar nikam of village kohlapur both in wardha 5. Manoj mahajan of khairi in yavatmal district 6.madhukar chahande of village ladbori in chandrapur and 7.madan rathode of village gotmara in buldhana ,taking 64 in last  month whereas 1142 innocent distressed and aid starved farmers killed themselves in year 2014 even  Last year in national and state election community  vidarbha farmers voted BJP to power after PM narendra modji has promised to end very sad saga of farmers suicides by addressing core of agrarian crisis which are cost, credit and selection of sustainable crop by providing MSP as per formula of investment plus 50% profit and farm loan waiver to all debt trapped distressed dry land farmers and promotion of sustainable crop pattern but even after 8 months nothing has been done and existing drought has added fuel restarting farm suicide spiral ,hence we want that PM Modi should  fulfill BJP election promise and stop farmers genocide , Tiwari said

"The pathetic plight of farmers has reached an alarming situation", farmers are seeking an immediate relief of Rs 25,000 per hectare of land from Maharashtra Government to the drought-hit farmer families along with a complete or reasonable waiver of crop loans to farmers but central Govt. apathy is forcing the farmers of Maharashtra kill themselves which is matter of national shame when NDA has  made vidarbha farm suicide as major election issue promises better cost and credit for farm produce and agriculture but all promises are turning out to be hoax, Tiwari said
